It is cozy season! The fall leaves are warm yellows and oranges and reds, I’m eager for holiday baking and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I love this season, family coming together and giving thanks, cooler weather, long nights by the fire pit and cozy sweaters.
To celebrate the season, I have put together a list of everything you need for a cozy thanksgiving holiday celebration including kitchen and host essentials, vintage inspiration and cozy sweaters for the big day.
Thanksgiving: Kitchen Essentials
If you were to ask our family members what their three must haves are at the Thanksgiving dinner, the consensus would be turkey, mashed potatoes and pie. I’ve got you covered with the essentials needed to roast a delicious turkey, whip up creamy mashed potatoes and bake the perfect pie. Plus lots of paper goods for leftovers.
Roasted Turkey
Thanksgiving dinner at our home begins with a roasted turkey. If you’re still using a foil roaster, I have two options for you to level-up. A great budget-friendly roaster and my roaster of choice for the serious cook.
Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
Everyone in our household loves mashed potatoes especially when prep is a breeze with a great potato peeler. And to get that creamy consistency you’ll need lots of butter and a good masher accompanied by a little elbow grease or a hand held mixer.
To keep your mashed potatoes warm before serving, use this beautiful baker by Emile Henry. Another Thanksgiving essential is my fat separator for gravy. Such a great tool.
Pie and Baked Goods
Don’t forget dessert! Thanksgiving always includes lots of pie and a hand full of other desserts. A few pie baking basics include pie weights, my favorite Emile Henry pie dish or this pretty pie dish and a stack of mixing bowls. And if you’re feeling creative, try my fall cutters or pie crust molds.
And don’t forget the parchment paper, it seems like I always run out during the holidays.
Paper Goods and Leftovers
We pull out the paper goods for dessert and leftovers every season. You’ll love this selection of fall paper goods. Plaid Cocktail Napkin, Grateful Napkins, Thankful Plates, Pie Shaped Plates, and Plaid Dinner Plates.
And don’t forget storage containers for leftovers. My absolute favorite if this set by Snapware.
Serving Thankgiving Dinner
I love to mix old and new pieces when I host dinner. This year I’m adding new pumpkin mugs, they’re perfect for morning coffee and fall soups. I also love these embroidered turkey linens and thankful linens.

Thanksgiving: Vintage Inspiration
I love adding vintage pieces to my Thanksgiving table. A mix of ironstone platters, brown transferware and brass candlesticks sets the perfect foundation. Add a few vintage turkey salt and pepper shakers and a silver pie server and you’re all set.
I also love to find vintage pieces in the wild, but sometimes you know exactly what piece you’re looking for and hunt and hunt and never find it. I love these brown transferware dinner plates and this large rectangular platter. Also, this set of amber bottles would be perfect to create place settings.

Thanksgiving: Cozy Sweaters
Keep it simple this Thanksgiving with a cozy sweater and your favorite leggings or jeans. I’m sharing fall sweaters from some of my favorite brands perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday. Each is super cozy and a great basic solid color that will take you through the whole year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
